Report B C autumn 24. Nass Base Camp. 2instincts team.
Waking up to the sound of a woodpecker fully underway making a new hole in the tree trunk just outside the cabin window is truly a good start to the day. Then, after a few breaths, when you gather yourself and realise that you are in British Columbia and the day ahead will be experienced in one of the world's best rivers for Steelhead, you jump out of bed and hurry down the stairs to a proper breakfast. A breakfast adapted to you, so you get the best possible start to the day. A day you have longed for, and which is now finally about to be realised.
To experience B C in pursuit of Steelhead is, for many, the complete and most unique experience one can have as a fly fisher. And after experiencing B C a number of times, we completely agree. This is absolutely fantastic and gives memories for life, every time.
Memories for life were made by all of us who visited B C and Nass Base Camp this autumn. What an area, and what nature we have access to when we visit Nass.
During the week, one great experience after another was carefully stored on the hard drive of each and every one of us. The pictures above give a small feeling and indication of what we experienced. Unfortunately, a couple of cameras did not work all the way, so some pictures were sadly lost along the way. But the good memories, the large and fine fish that were landed, the good laughter, the unique flies, the fantastic pools, the good food, the special boat trip, the monster fish that got away, the big fish that was landed, the bright salmon that tore off, and much more, we all carry with us as good memories that will be there forever.
What a brilliant fishing and nature experience this became.
Thank you to everyone who joined, and hopefully we will meet again next year.
We will never let this go.
For those of you interested in such a trip, we have 2 weeks available for 2025 at the same lodge in prime time, September.
Best regards from a very satisfied tour leader.
