Technical details
Fly was first designed and tested in the Nærøydalselva river in Gudvangen. Here there is a pool called Gobetet, and it was here that this little black fly was christened. Hence the name. On the first round, the originator, Helge Vetås, landed 7 sea trout and thus a new fly was invented. Since then, hundreds of trout, sea trout, char and more have been landed on this simple, fun and highly effective fly.
We know that the Gobit has produced good catches in Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Argentina, Chile, Canada, BC and some places in the USA. Fantastic fun.
The gobit is bound to order by the originator and there may therefore be some waiting time for delivery.
If you have caught fish on the Gobit, you can send information about the catch to 2instincts and a gold-coloured pin with the Gobit design will be sent by post to the lucky and proud fly fisher.
